Enter the 1920s and John D. Rockefeller introduces what will become Pharmacology 

The largest branch of Naturopathy in modern day is Orthopathy, which came to be known as the Natural Hygiene Movement.  This movement was characterized exclusively by vegetable consumption.  This field radically shifted thoughts of health away from fruit and heavily towards green drinks and raw vegetables as a means to get well.
